Authorities are warning people who came into contact with infected animals from a traveling petting zoo. Several goats from the zoo were found to be infected with rabies. People who had contact with the animals are being asked to reach out to public health officials.
The infected animals were from Farm Adventures, which is based in Iredell County. It is possible that people came into contact with the infected goats at the zoo's location in Harmony or at events held in other areas.
