In El Paso, a migrant who legally crossed into the US from Venezuela is facing uncertainty. The individual, Joel Vargas, had used the CBP One App to request asylum and was eventually able to cross into the country. He has since been working in construction in Colorado.

However, a recent change to the app has caused concern for Vargas and potentially others like him. The app, now called CBP Home, no longer accepts asylum appointment requests and instead provides a way for migrants to self-deport to their home countries, as reported by KVIA ABC-7.
