Nintendo is celebrating the 40th anniversary of "The Legend of Zelda", one of its most successful franchises. The company held a special event, which was streamed on YouTube, and featured Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of the saga. During the event, several announcements were made, including the production of a live-action film based on the game.
The film, also titled "The Legend of Zelda", is set to be released on April 30, 2027, and will star Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth. Images of the production were shared in November 2025, showing the actors dressed as Zelda and Link.
